Yes, finally was able to mow 100 percent of the lot last week — usually that’s the mid May or maybe first of June mowing. I mowed it myself, 7 weeks post-gutting. And that shall be my last health related update unless death occurs, in which case I shall notify all promptly.

- Chip Durham named Northwest Arkansas Coach of the Year in his 3rd year with the West Wal-mart High (Bentonville West) Price-Checkers (Wolverines).
- EF 1 Tornado ripped through Ball in the early hours of June 20th, nearly destroying the Dairy Queen — closed until further notice. Don’t know if they’re gonna tear it down and start over or just repair and go from there.
- New Superintendent for Rapides Parish School Board —
JimJeff Powell — Kim Bennett aka Kim “Hutch-nut” Hutchinson came in 2nd. - Fireworks over Buhlow set for July 3rd gates open at 4 or 5.
- Bridge over railroad tracks just past old Stalnaker’s “scheduled to open August 1st” seems they had to do a redesign after Union Pacific told the state they’d like to add another track — seems like when planning to replace a bridge over train tracks, one would think to check with the railroad.
- Spouses in politics — Kim Lowery-Wagner’s husband, Chuck Wagner, running for Rapides Parish Sheriff, a position he previously held, and Denise Hearn-Frieman’s husband, Larry Frieman, is running for State Representative.
